PRODUCT INFO

This cinematic digital painting, visually plays on the intense moment the Second mate of the Nostromo encounters the Alien Queen. The characters in the painting are layered slightly in mist, their limbs kissed by light, giving the impression of claustrophobic heat. The painting itself has a matt finish that adds to the depth and intensity of the scene. But who created who?

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, known simply as, Michelangelo, spent an estimated 4 years painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Whereas, it took roughly 2 weeks with graphic tablet to produce this piece. How times have changed. The central panel of chapel’s masterpiece is, ‘The Creation of Adam’ probably Michelangelo’s most recognisable work. Combine this iconic image with other iconic images from popular culture and things are guaranteed to liven up a blank wall.

All work is created with Adobe Photoshop and Wacom tablet.
