Product Info

Leonardo da Vinci’s mural of The Last Supper can be found on the refectory wall of Santa Maria Delle Grazie in Milan, Italy. It has been visited by countless millions and has been studied by many
an art critic, all of whom have offered up various opinions as to what was actually happening at that famous, sombre, dinner table. But what if the apostles and their teacher had had too much wine? What if the son of God said, ‘Come on, let’s have a selfie’? The scramble across the table for all to be one side of the lens would be chaos. Faces would be pulled and laughter would be heard as all looked on at the result on tiny screen. ‘Everybody. Say . . . cheese.’

Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper is the most reproduced religious painting of all time. It is estimated that it took Leonardo 3 years to paint but sadly, due to methods used – oil and tempera on white lead undercoat – little of the original painting remains.

This set of prints began with Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus’. She was modernised with graphic tablet, and shortly after, the Mona Lisa, Vitruvian Man and the Last Supper all followed suit. Many hours of digital painting and reworking later, and the series of images took a life of their own.
